Dr. J. Brian Huffling writes about the many ways Jesus claimed to be divine. It should be noted that Jesus doesn’t directly say “I am God.” This might be expected, if you did not understand Jesus’ ministry. If Jesus had come right out and said “I am the Messiah!” or “I am God incarnate!” he would have had a ministry lasting about two weeks. This is why you will read Jesus say over and over again, “My time has not yet come” in the Gospels. Here are some of the ways Jesus communicated his divinity:

Off the top of my head, I only have three responses. First, the name of God established in Genesis translates as “the self-existent one” or “I am.” Taking that in mind, the Jewish people took it as blasphemy to use the phrase “I am.” However, as Messiah, Jesus made seven “I am” proclamations — I am the bread of life; I am the Light of the world; I am the Good Shepherd; I am the door of the sheep; I am the true vine; I am the way, the truth, and the life; & I am the resurrection and the life.
Second, unlike the angel encountered in Revelation 22, Jesus accepted the worship at the Mount of Transfiguration and when Thomas saw and believed.
Third, Jesus said, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you cay, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is n Me?” (John 14:9-10).

the atmosphere religiously was more caustic than the trump impeachment debauchery. The controlling nature of Opposition could get you killed. As it did with Jesus, John the baptist and every Apostle except one. While you are free to have contempt on the internet, that sort of thing could cost you your life when Jesus was preaching. Jesus had to slip through the crowds more than once. Look what happened to Stephen. He was stoned by Paul.

No evidence of any of this at all, nor of the deaths of any of these people. This Jesus had to be killed to satisfy its father/self, so again, no reason to be afraid of anything.

Jesus really in the end wasn’t afraid, he didn’t relish the Idea of being beaten and crucified, but he was glad to do it for us. But to be sure there was no He He Hee when they whipped his back. What he did is fulfill the prophecy about him. Isaiah 53 and Psalms 22. a Play by play of what he went through.
Other than the queens birthday, I don’t know anyone who has their own holiday. Just Jesus Christ.

We have different version of what JC supposedly felt in the gospels. My God why have you foresaken me?” aren’t the words of a guy glad to be tortured to death. The Jesus version in John has no problem with it, but he also doesn’t weep in Gethsemane either.
This character did not fulfill the messiah prophecies. That’s why there are still Jews. For example, “He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,yet he did not open his mouth;” But Jesus did speak, at least per one of the gospels. And “although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth.” So what was the incident in the temple? There’s also the problem of retconning, of making up a myth to fit with Isaiah. There’s the same problem with Psalm 22 and that doesn’t fit since JC didn’t get this “All the ends of the earth shall remember
and turn to the Lord;and all the families of the nations shall worship before him” Christians had to make up a second coming to make that work. Christians pick and choose through the bible to make up prophecies.
So, their own holiday? Well, Christmas is a Christian attempt to steal from pagan religions as is Easter. Christians have no idea when a birth would have taken place, since the claims around the nativity have no evidence for them, and Easter, well, Christians haven’t agreed on that since it hops around all over the place. Hmm, Martin Luther King has a holiday. There are a bunch of holidays for other religions and their gods, so your attempt to claim that since JC has a holiday it must mean he’s real is truly laughable.

My God, My God why has thou forsaken me. is not a conversation. It is a reference to Psalms 22. When Jewish people made a reference they would need to call out the first sentence of a section of scripture. They would memorize large sections of scripture. They did not have chapters and verses back then. That was put in hundreds of years later. It wasn’t till the 1500’s.
So After Jesus was beaten and they cast lots for his clothes, and when he had hung on the cross, he said to everyone Please turn to Psalms 22.

Psalm 22 doesn’t reference your failed messiah, hoax. Lots of Christians want to claim that but they cherry pick the bible to dig up anything at all to convince themselves that they are right and the Jews are wrong. It’s rather funny to watch two religions fail so badly. You ignore the parts that don’t fit your nonsense like “My hands and feet have shriveled;17 I can count all my bones.”

Yes, according to the authors of the gospels Jesus dodged the question a lot but then did say yes, but even then he tried to soften it. Its just how the new testament in general approaches it. While they say it, its obvious its taboo to suggest it and so they word almost every mention very carefully.

Thomas said to Jesus, “My Lord and my God.” I think this is one of the strongest arguments for the deity of Christ. Blessings!

I personally do not believe in Jesus also being God. 1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV) says, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” Matthew 3:16, 17 says, “After being baptized, Jesus immediately came up from the water; and look! the heavens were opened up, and he saw God’s spirit descending like a dove and coming upon him. Look! Also, a voice from the heavens said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.” This is an example of when Jehovah was proud of Jesus from heaven for getting baptized ❤. Jesus said at John 6:38, “for I have come down from heaven to do, not my own will, but the will of him who sent me.”
