Can we trust the Gospels? Peter Williams, of Cambridge University, says yes in his newest book. I’ve read this book and it is great, especially for someone new to the subject, but for anyone really. It is important know why the Gospels are trustworthy.

How do you make the leap from the gospels being trustworthy to Jesus actually being god? Though the authors may have been writing accurately and passionately, it doesn’t follow that they interpreted the events they experienced correctly or that they were objective in any sense.

I’m going to try and buy the book as soon as I can. like he said, the arguments for the historicity of the Gospels are old and many, but it’s still helpful to hear them again with fresh language. i’m trying to formulate a post myself that this book would be helpful for.
