Dr. Travis Dickinson, professor of apologetics and philosophy at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, explores Martin Luther’s famous statement on “scripture and plain reason”. Martin Luther once called philosophy the “devil’s whore”. Whatever that means, it is clear that it is impossible to do biblical theology, or interpretation without reason (philosophy).
